Wood Badge 125, April 6-8 and April 20-22, 2018

Districts, Units, You, and our Youth Benefit with Wood Badge Trained Adults!

Wood Badge is for You, Those You Know and Those You Want to Know!
All of us understand how critical proper training is for adult leaders and many of you have already taken part in many of the opportunities available at the District and Council levels. We are a better because of it, and our youth have benefitted from your commitment - thank you.

Please take a moment to review the Wood Badge opportunities listed below and consider attending or reaching out to others in your Scouting circles to attend this world-class program. It matters not that you're a District or Unit Leader, new or experienced, or just someone who wants to improve their skills. What does matter is your desire to become more effective so our Districts may operate more efficiently and our youth, which we all serve, can become better Scouts and citizens.
Why Attend
Regardless of which course you attend, you will take part in an outstanding program which emphasizes leadership development and working with others as individuals and groups.  This is less about camping, hiking and outdoor skills than it is about a world-class program which helps adult leaders find out the best about themselves. They learn to find the best in others and acquire the skills and techniques to make it happen. The course draws upon the most current leadership models used by corporate America, academic circles, and successful outdoor organizations throughout the country.  This is exactly what we need to make our adult leaders more effective!
Prerequisites
The only prerequisites to take Wood Badge is that you have completed training specific to your registered adult leadership position, Youth Protection Training, and have a desire to improve scouting.  There is no specific time in any position required, nor are camping skills.  Veteran leaders are strongly encouraged to attend to serve as role models in their unit for those new to Scouting.
TOP TEN Reasons to attend!
10. It is the best full immersion course you will ever take
9. You will learn about all the different Scouting programs
8. You will get away from the world and into nature for a few days
7. You will learn Leadership and Teamwork skills
6. You will learn methods and techniques that will improve your Scouting activities
5. You will learn things that will make a positive difference in the rest of your life
4. You will meet a lot of fellow Scouters that will become friends – lifelong friends
3. You will have trained, caring, and supportive Instructors
2. You will learn more about yourself
1. It is a lot of fun and a great way to re-charge your Scouting batteries! (I promise)
Registration
Information on upcoming Wood Badge courses is available at: circleten.org/wood-badge  Please go to the course website for specific information on each course and a link to contact the Course Director to register for the course or ask for more data.
Wood Badge 125
