The Lone Star Orienteering Challenge (LSOC) is a competitive sport orienteering event for Boy Scout Troops, Venture Crews, Varsity Teams, and Webelos dens. Using a map, compass and their smarts, small teams navigate their way to control flags on a course to score points within a set time. The goal is to score as many points as possible in within the time limit. The team scoring the most points wins. It’s challenging, fast-paced and fun! Awards will be presented for team competition and unit competition.
Other activities include the Board Game-O. After awards presentation Saturday evening, the dining hall remains open for board games, puzzles, and other activities. Bring your favorite scouting appropriate board game or puzzle for more fun and competition… it’s Scout’s choice.
Training clinics will be provided on Saturday morning prior to the competition. This is a great activity for all skill levels- Scouts and Scouters alike
