Den Chief Training

Den Chief Training is for youth from Troops, Teams, or Crews serving as Den Chiefs in a pack.  It is also recommended for Den Leaders and Cubmasters.  It may be taken online at http://olc.scouting.org/.  It may also be provided locally.  The next trainings available are:

* Saturday, October 9th, 2010 from 8 to 10 am by the Lone Star District; $12 early or $15 late (includes the handbook).  It will be held at the McKinney LDS building where round table is held; 2801 Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, TX.  Sign up and get details here.

Troop (and Team) Leader Training

Troop Leader Training is given by the Scoutmaster typically twice a year after elections.

Oak Leaf

This training offered by districts is a hands on course to apply what youth leaders have been trained in Troop Leader Training.  Would you like to help staff an Oak Leaf?  We use youth to train youth.  Please let us know here. The next courses being offered are:

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT)

NYLT is an intense, 5½ day, outdoor leadership training experience for youth troop leaders run by Circle 10 council. The course goal is prepare young men to become superior leaders in their troop, their district and other organizations they belong to now and in the future.

National Advanced Youth Leadership Experience (NAYLE)

Wilderness First Aid

Required by at least one youth or adult for Philmont and many other High Adventure Camps.  Required for all High Adventure in 2010.  The next courses being offered are:
